START WITH CLARITY
Identify identical and similar earlier trademarks before committing filing fees and launch costs.
Changing a brand is usually easier before domains, packaging, app listings and advertising campaigns go live.
Search findings may help you refine your name, logo or list of goods and services before filing.
Depending on the findings, you may decide to proceed, refine the application, investigate further or reconsider the mark.
Trademark conflicts can arise from visual, phonetic or conceptual similarity—not only identical wording.
FROM INFORMATION TO CONFIDENCE
We search relevant trademark registers for identical and similar earlier marks in your selected territory.
We consider the goods and services you intend to offer—not just the trademark name in isolation.
Receive a clear indication of the principal risks identified and why they matter.
Understand whether to proceed, refine the filing, investigate further or reconsider the mark.
Where relevant, broader checks may also be considered, including company names, domains, marketplaces and other unregistered use.
Are you aiming for protection in jurisdictions beyond those presented above? That is excellent—we can help with comprehensive trademark searches and registration in virtually any jurisdiction, with the scope and services adapted to the relevant filing route.
Simply email us at contact@braendum.com, and our experts will guide you smoothly through the information and decisions required. We will help you select the most suitable approach from both strategic and financial perspectives.

LOCAL KNOWLEDGE. INTERNATIONAL REACH.
An EU trademark can cover all 27 EU Member States. A clearance search should consider relevant EU trademarks and earlier national rights that may affect an EU trademark application.
The Swiss IPI generally does not examine conflicts with earlier third-party trademarks as part of the registration process. Earlier owners may still oppose, making clearance before filing particularly important.
A French clearance search may need to consider French trademarks, EU trademarks and international registrations effective in France.
USPTO searching is important, but federal-register results may not tell the whole story. Relevant business names, domains, marketplace activity and other use may also matter.

Search before publicly announcing your name or investing heavily in packaging and launch materials.
Provide an accurate description of your real business model because trademark conflicts depend on related goods and services.
Consider spelling variations, abbreviations, translations and phonetic equivalents.
For logos, both the wording and visual elements may be relevant.
Remember that owning a domain name or registering a company name does not by itself establish trademark availability.
